Spreading Support and Solutions

Updated: Feb 24, 2023

With all these chemicals being released into our lands, water and atmosphere I wanted to come on here to give you solutions rather than sharing information about the events with no healing remedies. I am not here to instill any fear, or even share the logistics or science behind what is happening. I am here to again, share the remedies that I know of that can help you and your family. Just a friendly reminder that I am not a doctor, I am not diagnosing you nor curing you. I am simply sharing informing on what I am doing personally with myself and family. You can accept and adopt it as your own or even share but please do your own research to find out if these herbs are right for you and your family.

We are currently doing the following remedies. Some days we do all some days we pick a few.

  • Stop drinking the water. We are only drinking our bottled water.

  • Make plenty of Dandelion tea. Dandelion root is a favorite folk medicine and particularly useful for stimulating a sluggish liver. It promotes digestion, a liver tonic, and alterative. We are each drinking at least 2 cups of our herbal tea blend a day.

  • Milk thistle tea. This herb will strengthen and clear the liver and gallbladder.

  • Fire Cider which is apple cider vinegar based will help strengthen the immune, clear our any toxins in your system as well as purifying your blood. My cider that I make is loaded with turmeric, gingers, garlic and more…all these foods have been proven to help with liver detox boost our immune system and be a tonic. This is because of the antioxidants, anti-inflammatory properties and much more. You all know about fire cider!

  • Consuming more oatmeal because of the fiber. Fiber will help your liver function better.

  • Green Tea (decaf) will be added to our decoction. This is loaded with antioxidants.

  • Ginseng (not for the cherubs): known for its powerful anti-inflammatory properties and antioxidant effects. It helps protect the liver injury caused by viruses and toxins. It also may help boost liver cell regeneration.

Some other options include:

Essential oil inhalation (diluted) or steam therapy. I have a diffuser and I find that easier to use, but some herbs I don’t have EO of so I will throw it in a pot and let it stew, filling our home with its wonderful smell.

These include:

  • Thyme: Thyme is one of the most lung-healing herbs out there. It supports the health of the respiratory tract and fights bacterial infections like pneumonia. Thyme, without a doubt, is one of the most protective and supportive herbs for the bronchial pathways of the lungs. Thyme possesses expectorant, mucolytic, antitussive, and antispasmodic properties.

  • Mullein: Mullein is an incredibly effective plant for clearing your lungs of mucus, phlegm and inflammation. Mullein acts as an expectorant, meaning it helps the body remove excess mucus from the lungs and soothes the mucus membranes with its emollient properties. It can help with bronchitis, heavy coughing, chest colds, and even asthma.

  • Peppermint: Menthol, a compound in peppermint, is an anti-spasmodic and anti-inflammatory compound that helps relax the respiratory tract. Peppermint oil is one of the best ways to use peppermint, as it is high in other lung-healing compounds like caryophyllene, limonene, pinene and pulegone. Peppermint oil can help clear symptoms of upper respiratory congestion that may stem from allergies, asthma, cold, flu bronchitis and the like.

  • Eucalyptus: Eucalyptus is commonly used to relieve irritations of the throat and improve the health of the respiratory tract. It contains the active compound cineole, which is an active ingredient found in many syrups and cough medications. It is highly effective for treating asthma, bronchitis, COPD, pneumonia, and even tuberculosis. Using it for asthma is a proven treatment that dilates blood vessels and allows more oxygen into the lungs.

  • Oregano: The active compounds in oregano, carvacrol and rosmarinic acid, provide it with strong decongestant properties that promote good health of the lungs. Rosmarinic acid reduces fluid buildup and even swelling during an allergy attack, making it an all-natural histamine-reducing compound. It can help reduce nasal congestion, calm down excess mucous production and alleviate allergy-related sneezing.

  • Plantain: This omnipresent weed that has spiky greens and grows in the wild can help our lungs! Plantain leaves stimulate mucus production, making them a great remedy for a dry cough or throat irritation.

  • Sage: Sage contains potent aromatic oils like thujone, camphor, terpene, and salvene that open your sinuses and relieve lung congestion. Sage even can inhibit cancer growth and metastasis in the lungs and elsewhere in the body.

  • Licorice: Licorice is an herb that is often recommended to treat respiratory problems. It contains strong anti-inflammatory properties that will help loosen and release mucus, making the air passages wider so that oxygen can flow more freely. Drinking licorice root tea three times a day can help cure a cough, asthma, and congestion.

  • Marshmallow root: Marshmallow root is soothing, and helps reduce inflammation, irritation, and coughing. Its antitussive properties and mucilage abilities allow it to decrease irritation of the throat, reduce swelling in the lymph nodes, speed up healing time and reduce a dry cough. For these reasons, marshmallow extract is often added to many cough syrups and throat lozenges.

During these stressful times, it is important to try and incorporate some adaptogens into your diet. You can read my post here that includes lots of information on herbal remedies for times of stress. Another alternative remedy for stress, worry, fear or anxiousness would be flower essence. Children love flower essences! Click here for more information I have posted on Flower Essences. An easy go to would be Bach’s Rescue Remedy. They sell this at most local groceries stores or even Target. If not there, you can order online or go to Chamomile in Danbury. Some other Flower Essences for times of worrying and fear especially with concerns of their loved ones would be Red Chestnut. Another great flower essence is Rock Rose. This can be taken in all cases of extreme fear, terror, panic, urgency, or danger. Rock Rose gives the courage to face life and death, frees the mind to act, bringing faith that the terror or panic will soon pass.

Again, just a friendly reminder, please do your own research to find out what is right for you and your family.

Blessed be.

-Kelly
