Ginger Chai Tea

Have fun with your child by mixing up this warming chai tea. It has so many health benefits including:
feelings of coldness
chills
sore throat
colds, flu with chills and low fever
cough and lung congestion with clear to white mucus
nausea
vomiting
gas
cramps
stomachache
inflammation
Combine the herbs with 2 cups of water (or almond milk!) in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and let simmer, covered for 10 minutes. Strain and serve!
Ingredients:
1 tsp. cinnamon chips or 1 stick
1 (1/2 in) piece of sliced thin ginger
3 cloves
1 pinch of cardamom
1 star of anise
pinch of nutmeg
1/4 tsp. vanilla (can use extract or fresh)
1 tsp. maple syrup
1/2 tsp turmeric
1 tblsp brown sugar
